Sesame seeds grow in seed pods, which burst open when they’re fully
ripe. Once harvested, they’re cleaned and their exterior coats are
removed, in a process called hulling.
Sesame plant grows in tropical regions around the world, including
Tanzania, Myanmar, India, and Sudan which is the main resource of ourimport.
There are many types of sesame; such as golden or brown, white
and black. All of which we work hard to make them available in the Gulf market.
Storage and Packaging details:
– Sesame seeds should be stored in an airtight container.
– Sesame seeds can be kept in a cool, dry place for up to three months
– With refrigeration they will last up to six months; frozen ones will be good for up to one year
– Bulk containers are more preferred to ship sesame than cloth bags, because any tears in the bags make a large spillage.
